Below are comments from some of our guests regarding our accommodations and apartments in Rome:

Farnese I:

I just wanted to follow up with you to express our family's satisfaction with Farnese I and Farnese II. The apartments were spacious, cool (even though it was VERY warm outside) and had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. I'm afraid Americans often take things for granted - not a good thing. Living in the apartments allowed us to experience Rome as "residents" rather than tourists - and that is a good thing. One couldn't ask for a better location - a brisk 15 to 20 minute walk to the right brought us to the palace of Victor Emmanuele and the nearby Coliseum; the same walk to the left brought us to St. Peter's Square. Prudence's recommendations for restaurants was very helpful and we had great meals in wonderful settings. Campo Di Fiori is a great place - we so enjoyed buying fresh fruits and vegetables and a whole chicken in the butcher shop just off the piazza. We had a great meal in the apartment at the long wooden dining room table. Not to mention the bouquets of fresh flowers we set about the apartment during our stay. The "supermarket" had everything we needed and the little bakeries and shops everywhere made us think about how much Americans have lost with the advent of "mega stores" and discount chains.
The little Mom & Pop store next to our apartment was a great place for breakfast pastries and other essentials. Anna, the lady who runs the store was friendly and helpful. She and my Mom enjoyed several animated conversations in Italian. We were treated to a free music concert one night and a Bocce tournament another night in Piazza Farnese - these we watched from our living room window which overlooked the Piazza. I would highly recommend the apartments to anyone who wants a "home base" and more than a hotel room. However, I would like people to know that things are somewhat different away from home and it's important to be willing to learn and adapt. The only other advice I would offer is to bring a cell phone programmed for international calls since the apartments don't have one and using public pay phones proved very frustrating and not often successful. Both of you were most efficient in arranging transportation to and from the airport. Prudence, thanks again for all your help.
Ciao for now.

Our stay at the Farnese I was terrific. It was much more than we expected. This is a large well equipped apartment by anyone’s standards. It was convenient to everything. The Piazza’s Farnese was just out our front window and Campo dei Fiori was just a few steps from our front door. Both are a hub of activity both day and night. I just love fresh fruit and vegetables and so a fair amount of time and money was spent at the Campo dei Fiori. If you wanted fresh meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, or flowers, they had it. If it was not there then just a couple blocks north (with Prudence’s advice) was a grocery store with everything else. The apartment was totally equipped for cooking all meals. We did prepare breakfast and a few meals. Most however, were at your fine restaurants. They seem to be everywhere, including right out our front door.

The apartment is well located. You can easily walk to (and we did) any landmark in Rome. We would have loved to visit the French Embassy (right out our front window) but Prudence told us they only have an open house one day per year. We hope to come back again. In the meantime we will definitely recommend the Farnese I to our friends and relatives.

Thank Prudence for her help and advice.

My husband and I found Farnese I & Farnese II to be a lovely apartment and the perfect size for my family of 6 children and 1 nanny. The large living/dining area in Farnese I is spacious and comfortable - plenty of space for the children to relax and not feel cramped as can often be the case in holiday rental properties. The kitchen is well equiped and various condiments supplied should one feel the urge to cook. The bedrooms all very comfortable and notably quiet. The overall decor is homey with timber and tiled floors, old paintings and traditional furniture. Helen is very helpful and makes herself readily available if required.

I was so pleased I chose to stay in this particular area of Rome as it is close to all the sites and the array of food available from both the markets and local shops is fantastic. Every type of restaurant can be found in and around Campo de' Fiori and I felt it was safe enough for the children (15yrs and under) to go out by themselves to the markets and shops during the day. At night the Piazza is alive with people and music.

All in all a great place to stay in Rome especially if you want to avoid the more touristy areas like the Spanish Steps and experience a little bit of Roman living.

You will love this apartment and location! It is 2 minutes from the Campo dei Fiori; 5 minutes from the Piazza Navona and it overlooks the Piazza Farnese. My family came and went in total comfort for the entire month of August. It was hot, hot, but the air-conditioners worked beautifully. The on-site maid service is such a luxury as well as a rare amenity. The apartment's decor is charming shabby chic and Helen is a wonderful woman whose word is her bond and who will go out of her way to help you. Downstairs a great restaurant. Out the door a great cheese shop and coffee bar. You can't go wrong if you rent this apartment!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment right on Piazza Farnese, next to the historic French embassy. The location was ideal -- within walking distance of numerous attractions -- giving one the feeling of being immersed in Rome's many glories. We have three small children, and the apartment was ideal for them -- plenty of room, and plenty of things to do nearby, from the gelaterias to the outdoor food markets to the street theater in the nearby Piazza Navona. It was incomparably better than staying in a cramped hotel room. Having a kitchen and dining room -- the sprawling wooden table is quite a sight -- meant that when we were tired of taking the kids to restaurants, we could have a relaxing meal in the apartment. We were also very pleased with Comfortitalia's diligent service. Whenever we needed help, whether to get a taxi to the railroad station or to obtain advice about the neighborhood, they were always prompt, accessible and polite. Overall, we would definitely recommend Comfortitalia to others, and use them when we return to Rome.

The apartment was everything we hoped it would be. The location is superb with a view of the Palazzo Farnese out the living room windows. The apartment was comfortable and we took advantage of the huge dining room table for large lunches. Everything was just fine - a more detailed explanation of the water system would be warranted but we figured it out. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation and wouldn't hesitate to rent it on another occasion.

Farnese II:

I am happy to tell you how much my father, uncle, and I enjoyed our stay in the Farnese II studio in Rome this past April. I really felt like we were a part of daily (and nightly) life in Rome; a feeling you definitely do not get in a hotel. The studio, with its little balcony in back, was such a place of respite after long days of sightseeing. The furnishings were homey and comfortable. And being so near the Campo dei Fiori was great! The markets during the day and the energy of the people at night really gave us a taste of real-life Rome. And I have to say that the lady who runs the store next door with the delicious pastries was so charming and welcoming each day. All else aside, I would definitely go back to see her! One last word on the location: we really felt like we were well situated for all of the sightseeing we wanted to do. Never once did we need to use any transportation other than our feet. A few minutes walk took us to the heart of the city.
Thank you again so much for your hospitality and we look forward to returning soon.

Just wanted to let you know that the studio apartment that we rented for the week in April worked out very well and we were very pleased. The location was very convenient and enjoyable, the shower/hot water facilities were excellent and the sleeping accomodations were adequate. The mobile phone proved to be an added convenience that was appreciated, and the car service in return to the airport was very prompt, courteous, comfortable and reasonable in cost. We thoroughly enjoyed Rome... and look forward to a future visit.

We had a lovely stay in Rome and the apartment was adorable and very well equiped. The location is perfect and everything is within walking distance. Helen was a wonderful host and graciously helped us with any need. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Rome!
-- Cheryl Bonito (Dove Canyon, CA U.S.A)

Our first stop in Italy was Rome and our home was the Farnese Studio. The apartment set the tone for our stay with it's wonderful decor and location. We loved the charming and comfortable antiques, view through the french doors onto the Italian rooftops, and kitchen where we prepared a breakfast gathered from the daily out-door market on Campo dei Fiori. The location is within walking distance to most major sights. This is a perfect place for those wanting to spend their money on great Italian food and wine!
-- Lynn Frasier (Bainbridge Island, WA, U.S.A.)

The apartment itself is great for a couple and gives you a feel of real Roman life. I loved being able to get the freshest of everything right outside [at the market]. If you are tired of hotels and their prices, this is the place for you. Again I cannot stress enough the location. It was wonderful!

Pellegrino:

I just wanted to give a big thank you for all the help and hospitality in Rome. It was quite interesting to be there when the new Pope was elected. Please thank Prudence for us for all her helpful advice. Your apartment was even nicer than described and shown on the website, the pictures don't do it justice! I will recommend your place to anybody I know traveling to Rome and if there is anything else I can do for you please let me know. I'll be in touch for our next visit, whenever that may be. Thanks again.
--Mark Walker (San Francisco, CA; USA)

Hello Helen and Prudence,
We could not be more pleased with our decision to stay at Pellegrino during our four day stay in Rome June 18 through June 22, 2006. Sometimes booking "blindly" over the internet can be a bit risky and intimidating. No so with Comfortitalia! We found the apartment very comfortable, fully equipped and convenient to everything we had wanted to explore and more. Living/staying in the Pellegrino neighborhood afforded us the luxury of truly experiencing the touch, tastes, sights, sounds and smells of daily living in Rome.
Having our transportation arranged both to and from the airport was also a great help to us. If our wishes were truly granted at the Trevi Fountain we will return to Rome and we will stay in a Comfortitalia apartment without question! Thank you.
--Kathleen Henry (Boston, Ma; USA)

Dear Helen and Prudence-
I wanted to let you know how much fun we had on via Pellegrino!
It was perfect - well appointed (loved having the olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, etc.) and perfectly situated for my wandering famiglia. Thanks for getting my parents off to the airport at such an ungodly hour too.
I will let all my traveling buddies know of Comfortitalia and hope that we can get back soon too.

Monte:

G'day Prudence and Helen!

I just wanted to let you know that we returned home safely from Rome 2 weeks ago and wish to let you know that we had a wonderful time, and to thank you for your role in that. Prudence, thanks for getting us into, and out of the apartment, and for your help with maps, directions and advice. I am sure that you know how first impressions and experiences set the scene early on and the whole process surrounding the apartment set us on a great footing for that fabulous week in Rome!

The Monte apartment itself was great. If we had booked earlier, we would have chosen a different style, from my internet terminal here, but we were after a taste of Rome and the Monte was just what we needed! We felt so relaxed in the Monte, with our favourite memories being late afternoon siesta in the lounge room, drinking tumblers of cheap Frascati and planning the evenings exploration!, and soaking in the tub, again surrounded by Lonely Planet and DK, planning the day.

As to Rome itself, we have travelled a fair bit, and continue to do so, but Rome was Number One. Every time we rounded a corner we would become speechless, often just looking at each other not knowing what to say. On one occasion we were walking at night to a restaurant. We passed an otherwise non-descript church, but noticed the doors were ajar and peeked inside. It was one of the most beautiful churches we had seen, yet no mention of it on the books. We have a bag of similar memories, and we will obviously be back.

Some of our friends here in the village (Ashdon, Essex, UK) and overseas, have already asked about our trip and asked what we did for accommodation. Needless to say I have highly recommended your service and whether or not you see more people from Ashdon, or Australia, or North America, I wish you the best of luck and success.

St. Peter:

Just a quick note to thank you for all your help. The apartment was lovely and the cars that took us to and from the airport were great. Thank you also for your assistance when my father had the misfortune to lose his wallet. I am happy to say that all cards were cancelled quickly and it did not affect the enjoyment of our holiday.
If you would be kind enough to pass on our thanks to Marco as well. He was very quick to arrive and let us into the apartment and was helpful showing us around. We liked the information file and did eat in a fish restaurant recommended by him. It was quite an experience! We loved it and will be forwarding some photos by e.mail to the restaurant owner.
It would have been helpful, however, if regular closing times of big attractions, such as the Vatican or Castel St Angelo were included. We did not visit the Vatican museum as the day we had planned to go it was closed.
Not to worry it will give us an excuse to visit the beautiful city of Rome again!!!
Thank you once again, we will certainly be in touch if we visit Rome again soon.

Pasquino:

This was our 7th trip to Rome and because of our experience with the Pasquino certainly the most relaxed. The apartment is delightful and the ambiance could not be better. In fact it was like being at home while enjoying the delights of Rome. Everything was there that we could ever need from utensils to art
work to location. What a location! Everything we wanted was close by. The Piazza Navona, the Vatican, the Pantheon and on and on. Even the little shops and the Campo de Fiori made it possible to immerse ourselves in the life of the city. The other residents of the building made us feel as if we belonged
there! If you want to experience Rome thinking (or dreaming) you are a Roman
this is the place for you. Be careful, we may already have booked it again!

Lauro:

We had a great time in Rome, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in apartment Lauro. The location was perfect for us, the space was just was we had in mind, and the daughter of the owner was extremely helpful. I've already recommended to several friends that if they intend to spend some time in Rome, this apartment is an excellent choice.
Thanks for all of your help.
