Apartment:
The Gallo I is a newly renovated (May 2006) apartment with private terrace, two bedrooms / one bathroom located on Vicolo del Gallo, just off Piazza Farnese, and one block from Piazza Campo dei Fiori.

The apartment, approximately 60 sqms / 650 sqft is situated on the top floor of a 4-story building without elevator, and is composed of two levels. Upon entering, you will find the livingroom, master bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. A spiral staircase in the livingroom will bring you to the second bedroom, which is located on the upper level. The master bedroom is furnished with a matrimonial bed and the second bedroom with a bunk bed (i.e., 2 singles).

The private terrace, which is accessed from the kitchen through glass doors, is approximately 40 sqms / 450 sqft and is furnished with table and chairs. Here you can enjoy an open view of the rooftops of Rome's historic center.

All furnishings and kitchen / bathroom facilities are modern and brand new. Floors are covered with terracotta tiles, and the ceiling has exposed wooden beams. Since this is an attic apartment, the ceiling in the master bedroom slants.

NB: For large groups. This apartment is located in the same building as the Farnese I, Farnese II and Gallo II.

Location:
Piazza Farnese is an aristocratic Renaissance square and the site of the magnificent "Palazzo Farnese", built between 1514-1589, and designed by Sangallo and Michelangelo, among others. Beginning in the1630s until today, this Palazzo has been the site of the French Embassy.

Just one block north is Piazza Campo dei Fiori, a popular square with many restaurants, cafes, shops, boutiques, as well as a daily open air food market. This Piazza come alive during the day with street musicians, local Romans doing their shopping, and people relaxing and taking in the sun at the street-side cafes. At night, it is also a trendy destination for Romans and tourists alike, who gather in this area for the many quality restaurants and wine bars.

5 minutes: Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, Trastevere
10 minutes: Pantheon, Jewish Quarter
15 minutes: St. Peter's (Vatican)
